A Journey Through the Amazon – A Guest Perspective
A Journey Through the Amazon comes to life in this beautiful guest video created by Celso and Caroline Gattaz during their visit to Tucan Amazon Lodge in April 2025. This 42-minute film is a rich visual account of their time spent exploring the rainforest, encountering its wildlife, and connecting with the local and indigenous cultures of the Amazon.
The couple’s journey begins with their arrival at Tucan Amazon Lodge, located about two hours from Manaus, Brazil. Surrounded by dense jungle and set on the shores of a peaceful lake, the lodge served as the perfect base for their adventure. Their video, which is mostly in Portuguese, beautifully showcases the full spectrum of what a stay at the lodge can offer.
From canoeing through quiet igarapés to spotting pink dolphins and visiting riverside communities, every moment captures the magic of the Amazon. One of the highlights is their visit to an indigenous village, where they took part in cultural rituals and observed traditional dances – a truly authentic insight into Amazonian heritage.
